Great article! For me, "We need to develop self-awareness of our tendencies and pitfalls – when do I become like a parent, or when do I become like a child?" is such an important point and I know no better tool for this than the Enneagram! We use it at work (for those that are open to it) and its been such a fantastic help in understanding our underlying motivations, focus areas etc. I recommend it to everyone. And if you're interested, Lisa, let me know if you want to learn more. :-)

Thank you for this, Lisa. As always, I highly appreciate what you bring. This touches a place I care deeply about, especially the inner and relational capacities shared power asks of us, not only the structural ones. I was especially struck by your naming that shared power does not simply arise when hierarchical structures are removed, and by the importance of finding the sweet spot between abandoning people to reorient alone and rushing in to rescue them. It also speaks to something I hold as essential: the need to differentiate power and authority more clearly if we are to grow into more conscious ways of being and organizing together. This was part of what moved me to write my book "New Stories of Love, Power, and Purpose".

I’m grateful for the clarity, honesty, and lived depth you bring to this piece.
